Some management jokes i found while searching for some information on the hot air balloon thingy dat's happening in Hong Lim. Hmmmm... I shld have cut out the article in the paper. =/
Hot Air Balloon
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The woman below replied, "You are in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You are between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude."
"You must be an engineer," said the balloonist.
"I am," replied the woman, "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help so far."
The woman below responded, "You must be in management."
"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"
"Well," said the woman, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault."
Indian & Coffee
An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand and a bucket of buffalo manure in the other. He says to the waiter, "Me want coffee."
The waiter says, "Sure chief, coming right up." He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee, and the Indian drinks it down in one gulp, picks up the bucket of manure, throws it into the air, blasts it with the shotgun, then just walks out.
The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand and a bucket of buffalo manure in the other. He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter, "Me want coffee."

Oh.. today is a horrible day! Anne's on leave, i had to read 11 sets of newspapers (3 ST, 3 ZB, 2 BT, 2 TODAY, 1 Streats), watch 8 news. *faint*
Anyway, weekend was well-spent.
Went home on friday to watch 喜临门. I'm totally pissed with 向云's character.
Sometimes i really cannot stand MediaCorp for making such irritating series with such irritating characters.
Rushed down to Orchard OUB to settle my atm card stuff. Then went for a lil' shopping with dear|e. He had wanted to eat the coffee club mudpie & some coffee.. But we had plans to go eat the sakura buffet @ TPY, so he had to put off dat idea & bought a can of Nestle coffee instead.
Dined with Tracy & beau, Robin, Hui & Alvin, candice & keat. So interesting to have couples outing. Hehe.. 充满爱的一天

Lotsa thingy happened last week....... so it was kinda a happening yet busy week. a quick summary...
Thur
Public holiday. Tot dat i could slp a lil' more in the morning. but got news dat granny's in hospital. Had to rush down to help mum @ her stall so dat she could go see granny. my heart skipped a beat whenever i heard the phone ring.
it's like something bad's gonna happen. but lucky.. nothing bad really happened.
went to see granny @ noon then went to help mum with closing.
Went to a wedding dinn @ nite with my parents. Trying to get some good luck by attending occassions like this. haha... met up with cousin who juz came back from germany. wow... time can really change a person....

working. 3 colleagues took leave. HELL!
I was so blardy busy the whole day dat i almost din have time to go for lunch.
went to celebrate ru's bday after work. she treated us to tis restaurant @ jalan besar. nice food there.. a bit far though. hahaha....
went to this new KTV after dinner. it's @ chinatown, beside da dong dim sum place. it cost $10/pax. free flow of drinks & they gives free sharks' fins.
hahaha.. but the mtvs are rather cannot make it! seems like they downloaded the mtvs from internet! hahaha...
spent e nite @ dear|e's house.

Bad headache in the morning... fought the headache to cut my hair @ audrey's plc. Supposed 2 mit ru @ 2pm but i was kinda late.
mit my cousin @ ps after haircut @ farrer park. shopped all e way from ps to taka. managed to get chix's pressies. chatted a lot with my cousin... realised there are a lot of things gg on among my family. it's so blardy amazing to hear all the gossips. hahahhaah...
went to see granny after shopping. then went home after dat... the headache din go @ all... shucks...

headache FINALLY gone... went to help mum out @ stall again. blardy tired after all the physical work. rushed home to change n mit hui, tracy & chix. it's chix's bday today. she treated us to Crystal Jade @ Suntec. Had a filling meal... yum yum...
Walked all e way to Esplanade's California Bistro to sit down n chit-chat.
Along e way to esplanade... i asked them where did i treat them to eat on my bday this yr... nobody could ans where we went. hahaha... we pondered over the prob for almost 1hr++ until all of us finally gave up! wahahaha... we even called our bfs to ask! hahahaha... horrible.. i still can't think of where we went!
argh... hate to do this to myself.. but i've gotta find out!
Anyway.. was gg thru some old pics in my parents' room... n found some interesting pics.

I'm a collector of detective stories. I used to buy 金田一少年事件簿。 But the stories were kinda lengthy so i stopped buying. The Detective School is my latest collection. It's quite a good story, interesting characters, small 'puzzles' in book for u to solve. But i still love Conan!
